Stress Proof Your Holidays

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

“Imagine a symphony orchestra that is beginning to get out of control. One violinist is three bars ahead of the rest of the string section. The percussionist is six bars ahead of the erring violinist, and the conductor has begun waving his arms in the tempo that is twice that of the score. The musicians perpetuate this chaos until the music escalates into a virtual frenzy. Finally, the members of the unfortunate orchestra collapse in a heap on the stage floor, their instruments strewn about them like implements of a battle.” Josie Hadley & Carol Staudacher, Hypnosis For Change

Spending Time Alone With Yourself To Become Clear About the Big Picture

Sunday, November 1st, 2009

Finding Quiet, by Paul Wilson, explains the role of  “going deep” in meditation and relaxation exercises.  “Primarily, they help to remove the clutter and limitations of everyday awareness so you can become intuitively aware of life’s big picture.  When the mind is still, this occurs quite spontaneously-without the filtration of conscious thought.”

Stress Proof Your Holidays by learning  relaxation and self – help techniques to help relieve stress.  A guided visualization will be presented by LuAnn Hamon, M.P.S., Clinical Hypnotherapist.
